About Us
Kappa Eta Kappa is a co-ed professional fraternity dedicated to promoting excellence in engineering and computer science. Since our founding, we have been committed to developing future leaders through professional growth and meaningful relationships.
While our membership is primarily composed of Engineering, Computer Science, and Data Science majors, we welcome students from all disciplines who share our commitment to professional excellence and community.
Our Delta Chapter at UW-Madison is proud to serve the campus community through professional development, social engagement, and lifelong friendships.

Lifelong Community
The bonds between our members are the most important part of our organization. Their long-lasting friendships make it such that they never feel alone and no goal feels out of reach. Creating this sense of belonging is not a consequence of being part of KHK, but rather one of its core tenets.
Pursuing Excellence
To change the world, one must sharpen their mind and dedicate themselves to their craft. Our members seek to enhance their capabilities to the utmost, challenging each other to continuously improve.
Foresight
The future is subject to not only our own actions, but also to the actions of those who come after. As both individual people and those part of the KHK community, we think not only of the past and present, but of the future and all that comes with it, and seek to mentor our juniors who will take up the mantle from us.
Cultivating Leadership
Leadership is not just a title. It is taking initiative, being unafraid of challenge, serving others, and rallying together people for a cause greater than themselves. KHK believes in empowering all of its members to be inspiring leaders.

On February 10th, 1923, the first chapter of KHK was born at the University of Iowa, led by Clinton Smoke, Theodore D. Pals, George C.K. Johnson, and Herbert K. Shore. A legacy spanning over a hundred years begins…
After an inquiry from Mr. Welch of the University of Wisconsin regarding installing an electrical fraternity on campus, the Alpha and Beta chapters of KHK informed them of their organziation. In due time, Mr. George C. K. Johnson of Alpha, Mr. Orville H. Pullen of Alpha, and Mr. Laurence C. Warren of Beta installed Delta chapter at the Madison Club, Madison, Wisconsin on February 9,1924.
The Great Depression marked a difficult period for KHK. Alpha chapter's members dwindled, while Epsilon chapter had issues starting out. Due to disagreements in philosophy Eta chapter was shut down. However, the remaining chapters stayed resilient.
Despite its great resilience, KHK nonetheless slowly shrank as World War II continued. Many chapters ended due to loss in their members, with only Beta, Gamma, and Delta chapters remaining active after the war.
With the world shutting down and gatherings being limited, Delta chapter was close to its end during the Covid Era. With record-low membership in decades, it was a tough time for the chapter. However, as lockdown ended, the desire to go out and meet new people was reinvigorated within the people tremendously, leading to a huge influx in members that kick-started the chapter.
Across the 2025-2026 Academic Year, KHK Delta's members helped our National Committee secure not one but 2 new charters back to back - Kappa in Chicago and Lambda in Michigan. To cap off this landmark step forward, a team of our actives won 2nd place in the Engineering Expo in Spring 2026. Through multiple great struggles, Delta nonetheless found itself in a thriving era.
Our Home
Our chapter house at 114 N Orchard St is more than a place to sleep. It is where members live, study, build projects, and spend time together.
With 12 rooms and impressively-cheap rent rates, the KHK house makes for a great place to live for our actives. It offers a great opportunity to strengthen your friendships with your fellows, and learn to live together in harmony with others.
Our home extends far beyond just a place of stay. With an in-house computer lab (equipped with a 3D printer, multiple tools and components for engineers, and a modern, powerful computer), an office, cheap parking on the side and back, and an attic with plentiful storage space, it has enormous utility for any housemate.
Meanwhile, our basement doubles as both a great venue for parties and having fun, and as our meeting space. With party lights, a projector, and its own dedicated computer, it is a good representation of our 'work hard, play hard' mentality.
